How To Uninstall boinc-client On Debian 9

To uninstall boinc-client just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just boinc-client

core client for the BOINC distributed computing infrastructureDebian 9.0net7.6.33+dfsg-12
sudo apt-get remove boinc-client

This will remove just the boinc-client package itself.

Uninstall boinc-client and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove boinc-client

This will remove the boinc-client package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for boinc-client then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge boinc-client

Or similarly, like this boinc-client

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove boinc-client
