How To Uninstall bootp On Debian 9

To uninstall bootp just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bootp

server for the bootp protocol with DHCP supportDebian 9.0net2.4.3-18+b2
sudo apt-get remove bootp

This will remove just the bootp package itself.

Uninstall bootp and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bootp

This will remove the bootp package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bootp then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bootp

Or similarly, like this bootp

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bootp
