How To Uninstall bootstrap-vz On Debian 9

To uninstall bootstrap-vz just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bootstrap-vz

tool for creating Debian images for cloud platforms (CLI)Debian 9.0admin0.9.10+20170110git-1
sudo apt-get remove bootstrap-vz

This will remove just the bootstrap-vz package itself.

Uninstall bootstrap-vz and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bootstrap-vz

This will remove the bootstrap-vz package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bootstrap-vz then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bootstrap-vz

Or similarly, like this bootstrap-vz

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bootstrap-vz
