How To Uninstall boxbackup-client On Debian 9

To uninstall boxbackup-client just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just boxbackup-client

client for the BoxBackup remote backup systemDebian 9.0utils0.11.1~r2837-4
sudo apt-get remove boxbackup-client

This will remove just the boxbackup-client package itself.

Uninstall boxbackup-client and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove boxbackup-client

This will remove the boxbackup-client package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for boxbackup-client then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge boxbackup-client

Or similarly, like this boxbackup-client

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove boxbackup-client
