How To Uninstall bpython On Debian 9

To uninstall bpython just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bpython

fancy interface to the Python 2 interpreterDebian 9.0python0.16-2
sudo apt-get remove bpython

This will remove just the bpython package itself.

Uninstall bpython and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bpython

This will remove the bpython package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bpython then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bpython

Or similarly, like this bpython

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bpython
