How To Uninstall bro On Debian 9

To uninstall bro just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bro

passive network traffic analyzerDebian 9.0net2.5-1
sudo apt-get remove bro

This will remove just the bro package itself.

Uninstall bro and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bro

This will remove the bro package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bro then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bro

Or similarly, like this bro

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bro
