To uninstall browser-plugin-evince just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just browser-plugin-evince

sudo apt-get remove browser-plugin-evince

This will remove just the browser-plugin-evince package itself.

Uninstall browser-plugin-evince and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove browser-plugin-evince

This will remove the browser-plugin-evince package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for browser-plugin-evince then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge browser-plugin-evince

Or similarly, like this browser-plugin-evince

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove browser-plugin-evince
