How To Uninstall browser-plugin-vlc On Debian 9

To uninstall browser-plugin-vlc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just browser-plugin-vlc

multimedia plugin for web browsers based on VLCDebian 9.0video2.0.6-4
sudo apt-get remove browser-plugin-vlc

This will remove just the browser-plugin-vlc package itself.

Uninstall browser-plugin-vlc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove browser-plugin-vlc

This will remove the browser-plugin-vlc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for browser-plugin-vlc then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge browser-plugin-vlc

Or similarly, like this browser-plugin-vlc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove browser-plugin-vlc
