How To Uninstall bruteforce-salted-openssl On Debian 9

To uninstall bruteforce-salted-openssl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bruteforce-salted-openssl

try to find the passphrase for files encrypted with OpenSSLDebian 9.0utils1.3.3-1
sudo apt-get remove bruteforce-salted-openssl

This will remove just the bruteforce-salted-openssl package itself.

Uninstall bruteforce-salted-openssl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bruteforce-salted-openssl

This will remove the bruteforce-salted-openssl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bruteforce-salted-openssl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bruteforce-salted-openssl

Or similarly, like this bruteforce-salted-openssl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bruteforce-salted-openssl
