How To Uninstall bsdutils On Debian 9

To uninstall bsdutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bsdutils

basic utilities from 4.4BSD-LiteDebian 9.0utils1:2.29.2-1
sudo apt-get remove bsdutils

This will remove just the bsdutils package itself.

Uninstall bsdutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bsdutils

This will remove the bsdutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bsdutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bsdutils

Or similarly, like this bsdutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bsdutils
