How To Uninstall buffer On Debian 9

To uninstall buffer just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just buffer

Buffering/reblocking program for tape backups, printing, etc.Debian 9.0utils1.19-12+b1
sudo apt-get remove buffer

This will remove just the buffer package itself.

Uninstall buffer and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove buffer

This will remove the buffer package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for buffer then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge buffer

Or similarly, like this buffer

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove buffer
