How To Uninstall busybox-syslogd On Debian 9

To uninstall busybox-syslogd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just busybox-syslogd

Provides syslogd and klogd using busyboxDebian 9.0utils1:1.22.0-19
sudo apt-get remove busybox-syslogd

This will remove just the busybox-syslogd package itself.

Uninstall busybox-syslogd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove busybox-syslogd

This will remove the busybox-syslogd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for busybox-syslogd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge busybox-syslogd

Or similarly, like this busybox-syslogd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove busybox-syslogd
