How To Uninstall bvi On Debian 9

To uninstall bvi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bvi

binary file editorDebian 9.0editors1.4.0-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove bvi

This will remove just the bvi package itself.

Uninstall bvi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bvi

This will remove the bvi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bvi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bvi

Or similarly, like this bvi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bvi
