How To Uninstall byacc-j On Debian 9

To uninstall byacc-j just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just byacc-j

Berkeley YACC parser generator extended to generate Java codeDebian 9.0devel1.15-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove byacc-j

This will remove just the byacc-j package itself.

Uninstall byacc-j and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove byacc-j

This will remove the byacc-j package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for byacc-j then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge byacc-j

Or similarly, like this byacc-j

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove byacc-j
