How To Uninstall ca-cacert On Debian 9

To uninstall ca-cacert just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ca-cacert

CAcert.org root certificatesDebian 9.0misc2011.0523-2
sudo apt-get remove ca-cacert

This will remove just the ca-cacert package itself.

Uninstall ca-cacert and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ca-cacert

This will remove the ca-cacert package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ca-cacert then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ca-cacert

Or similarly, like this ca-cacert

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ca-cacert
