How To Uninstall cantor-backend-python2 On Debian 9

To uninstall cantor-backend-python2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cantor-backend-python2

Python2 backend for CantorDebian 9.0math4:16.08.3-1
sudo apt-get remove cantor-backend-python2

This will remove just the cantor-backend-python2 package itself.

Uninstall cantor-backend-python2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cantor-backend-python2

This will remove the cantor-backend-python2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cantor-backend-python2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cantor-backend-python2

Or similarly, like this cantor-backend-python2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cantor-backend-python2
