How To Uninstall cantor-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall cantor-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cantor-dev

interface for mathematical applications - development filesDebian 9.0libdevel4:16.08.3-1
sudo apt-get remove cantor-dev

This will remove just the cantor-dev package itself.

Uninstall cantor-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cantor-dev

This will remove the cantor-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cantor-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cantor-dev

Or similarly, like this cantor-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cantor-dev
