How To Uninstall cinder-backup On Debian 9

To uninstall cinder-backup just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cinder-backup

OpenStack block storage system - Backup serverDebian 9.0net2:9.0.0-4
sudo apt-get remove cinder-backup

This will remove just the cinder-backup package itself.

Uninstall cinder-backup and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cinder-backup

This will remove the cinder-backup package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cinder-backup then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cinder-backup

Or similarly, like this cinder-backup

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cinder-backup
