How To Uninstall cmake On Debian 9

To uninstall cmake just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cmake

cross-platform, open-source make systemDebian 9.0devel3.7.2-1
sudo apt-get remove cmake

This will remove just the cmake package itself.

Uninstall cmake and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cmake

This will remove the cmake package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cmake then this will work.

Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cmake

Or similarly, like this cmake
