How To Uninstall cmark On Debian 9

To uninstall cmark just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cmark

CommonMark parsing and rendering programDebian 9.0text0.26.1-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove cmark

This will remove just the cmark package itself.

Uninstall cmark and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cmark

This will remove the cmark package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cmark then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cmark

Or similarly, like this cmark

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cmark
