How To Uninstall datalad On Debian 9

To uninstall datalad just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just datalad

data files crawler and data distributionDebian 9.0science0.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove datalad

This will remove just the datalad package itself.

Uninstall datalad and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove datalad

This will remove the datalad package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for datalad then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge datalad

Or similarly, like this datalad

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove datalad
