How To Uninstall dateutils On Debian 9

To uninstall dateutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dateutils

nifty command line date and time utilitiesDebian 9.0utils0.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove dateutils

This will remove just the dateutils package itself.

Uninstall dateutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dateutils

This will remove the dateutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dateutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dateutils

Or similarly, like this dateutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dateutils
