How To Uninstall db5.3-doc On Debian 9

To uninstall db5.3-doc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just db5.3-doc

Berkeley v5.3 Database Documentation [html]Debian 9.0doc5.3.28-12
sudo apt-get remove db5.3-doc

This will remove just the db5.3-doc package itself.

Uninstall db5.3-doc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove db5.3-doc

This will remove the db5.3-doc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for db5.3-doc then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge db5.3-doc

Or similarly, like this db5.3-doc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove db5.3-doc
