How To Uninstall db5.3-sql-util On Debian 9

To uninstall db5.3-sql-util just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just db5.3-sql-util

Berkeley v5.3 SQL Database UtilitiesDebian 9.0database5.3.28-12+b1
sudo apt-get remove db5.3-sql-util

This will remove just the db5.3-sql-util package itself.

Uninstall db5.3-sql-util and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove db5.3-sql-util

This will remove the db5.3-sql-util package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for db5.3-sql-util then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge db5.3-sql-util

Or similarly, like this db5.3-sql-util

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove db5.3-sql-util
