How To Uninstall dbar On Debian 9

To uninstall dbar just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dbar

general purpose ASCII graphic percentage meter/progressbarDebian 9.0text0.0.20100524-3
sudo apt-get remove dbar

This will remove just the dbar package itself.

Uninstall dbar and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dbar

This will remove the dbar package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dbar then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dbar

Or similarly, like this dbar

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dbar
