How To Uninstall dbconfig-common On Debian 9

To uninstall dbconfig-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dbconfig-common

sudo apt-get remove dbconfig-common

This will remove just the dbconfig-common package itself.

Uninstall dbconfig-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dbconfig-common

This will remove the dbconfig-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dbconfig-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dbconfig-common

Or similarly, like this dbconfig-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dbconfig-common
