How To Uninstall dbconfig-mysql On Debian 9

To uninstall dbconfig-mysql just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dbconfig-mysql

dbconfig-common MySQL/MariaDB supportDebian 9.0admin2.0.8
sudo apt-get remove dbconfig-mysql

This will remove just the dbconfig-mysql package itself.

Uninstall dbconfig-mysql and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dbconfig-mysql

This will remove the dbconfig-mysql package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dbconfig-mysql then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dbconfig-mysql

Or similarly, like this dbconfig-mysql

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dbconfig-mysql
