How To Uninstall dbench On Debian 9

To uninstall dbench just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dbench

The dbench (disk) and tbench (TCP) benchmarksDebian 9.0utils4.0-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove dbench

This will remove just the dbench package itself.

Uninstall dbench and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dbench

This will remove the dbench package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dbench then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dbench

Or similarly, like this dbench

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dbench
