How To Uninstall dbus On Debian 9

To uninstall dbus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dbus

simple interprocess messaging system (daemon and utilities)Debian 9.0admin1.10.18-1
sudo apt-get remove dbus

This will remove just the dbus package itself.

Uninstall dbus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dbus

This will remove the dbus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dbus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dbus

Or similarly, like this dbus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dbus
