How To Uninstall dds2tar On Debian 9

To uninstall dds2tar just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dds2tar

Tools for using DDS features of DAT drives with GNU tarDebian 9.0utils2.5.2-7+b1
sudo apt-get remove dds2tar

This will remove just the dds2tar package itself.

Uninstall dds2tar and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dds2tar

This will remove the dds2tar package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dds2tar then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dds2tar

Or similarly, like this dds2tar

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dds2tar
