How To Uninstall deb-gview On Debian 9

To uninstall deb-gview just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just deb-gview

GNOME viewer for .deb package files and contentsDebian 9.0utils0.2.11+b1
sudo apt-get remove deb-gview

This will remove just the deb-gview package itself.

Uninstall deb-gview and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove deb-gview

This will remove the deb-gview package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for deb-gview then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge deb-gview

Or similarly, like this deb-gview

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove deb-gview
