How To Uninstall debaux-debconf On Debian 9

To uninstall debaux-debconf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debaux-debconf

Perl Interface to DebconfDebian 9.0devel0.1.12-1
sudo apt-get remove debaux-debconf

This will remove just the debaux-debconf package itself.

Uninstall debaux-debconf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debaux-debconf

This will remove the debaux-debconf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debaux-debconf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debaux-debconf

Or similarly, like this debaux-debconf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debaux-debconf
