How To Uninstall debconf-i18n On Debian 9

To uninstall debconf-i18n just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debconf-i18n

full internationalization support for debconfDebian 9.0localization1.5.61
sudo apt-get remove debconf-i18n

This will remove just the debconf-i18n package itself.

Uninstall debconf-i18n and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debconf-i18n

This will remove the debconf-i18n package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debconf-i18n then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debconf-i18n

Or similarly, like this debconf-i18n

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debconf-i18n
