How To Uninstall debhelper On Debian 9

To uninstall debhelper just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debhelper

helper programs for debian/rulesDebian 9.0devel10.2.5
sudo apt-get remove debhelper

This will remove just the debhelper package itself.

Uninstall debhelper and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debhelper

This will remove the debhelper package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debhelper then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debhelper

Or similarly, like this debhelper

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debhelper
