How To Uninstall debian-policy On Debian 9

To uninstall debian-policy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debian-policy

Debian Policy Manual and related documentsDebian 9.0doc3.9.8.0
sudo apt-get remove debian-policy

This will remove just the debian-policy package itself.

Uninstall debian-policy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debian-policy

This will remove the debian-policy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debian-policy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debian-policy

Or similarly, like this debian-policy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debian-policy
