How To Uninstall debian-reference-common On Debian 9

To uninstall debian-reference-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debian-reference-common

sudo apt-get remove debian-reference-common

This will remove just the debian-reference-common package itself.

Uninstall debian-reference-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debian-reference-common

This will remove the debian-reference-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debian-reference-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debian-reference-common

Or similarly, like this debian-reference-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debian-reference-common
