How To Uninstall debianutils On Debian 9

To uninstall debianutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debianutils

Miscellaneous utilities specific to DebianDebian 9.0utils4.8.1.1
sudo apt-get remove debianutils

This will remove just the debianutils package itself.

Uninstall debianutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debianutils

This will remove the debianutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debianutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debianutils

Or similarly, like this debianutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debianutils
