How To Uninstall debmake On Debian 9

To uninstall debmake just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debmake

helper script to make the Debian source packageDebian 9.0devel4.2.9-1
sudo apt-get remove debmake

This will remove just the debmake package itself.

Uninstall debmake and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debmake

This will remove the debmake package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debmake then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debmake

Or similarly, like this debmake

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debmake
