How To Uninstall debootstrap On Debian 9

To uninstall debootstrap just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debootstrap

Bootstrap a basic Debian systemDebian 9.0admin1.0.89
sudo apt-get remove debootstrap

This will remove just the debootstrap package itself.

Uninstall debootstrap and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debootstrap

This will remove the debootstrap package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debootstrap then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debootstrap

Or similarly, like this debootstrap

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debootstrap
