How To Uninstall debpear On Debian 9

To uninstall debpear just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debpear

automatically builds and installs PEAR package as Debian packagesDebian 9.0php0.5
sudo apt-get remove debpear

This will remove just the debpear package itself.

Uninstall debpear and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debpear

This will remove the debpear package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debpear then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debpear

Or similarly, like this debpear

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debpear
