How To Uninstall debtags On Debian 9

To uninstall debtags just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just debtags

Debian Package Tags support toolsDebian 9.0admin2.1.2
sudo apt-get remove debtags

This will remove just the debtags package itself.

Uninstall debtags and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove debtags

This will remove the debtags package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for debtags then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge debtags

Or similarly, like this debtags

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove debtags
