How To Uninstall derby-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall derby-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just derby-tools

Apache Derby ToolsDebian 9.0java10.13.1.1-2
sudo apt-get remove derby-tools

This will remove just the derby-tools package itself.

Uninstall derby-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove derby-tools

This will remove the derby-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for derby-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge derby-tools

Or similarly, like this derby-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove derby-tools
