How To Uninstall designate-mdns On Debian 9

To uninstall designate-mdns just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just designate-mdns

OpenStack DNS as a Service - mdnsDebian 9.0net1:3.0.0-4
sudo apt-get remove designate-mdns

This will remove just the designate-mdns package itself.

Uninstall designate-mdns and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove designate-mdns

This will remove the designate-mdns package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for designate-mdns then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge designate-mdns

Or similarly, like this designate-mdns

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove designate-mdns
