How To Uninstall devhelp-common On Debian 9

To uninstall devhelp-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just devhelp-common

Common files for devhelp and its libraryDebian 9.0devel3.22.0-1
sudo apt-get remove devhelp-common

This will remove just the devhelp-common package itself.

Uninstall devhelp-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove devhelp-common

This will remove the devhelp-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for devhelp-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge devhelp-common

Or similarly, like this devhelp-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove devhelp-common
