How To Uninstall device-tree-compiler On Debian 9

To uninstall device-tree-compiler just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just device-tree-compiler

Device Tree Compiler for Flat Device TreesDebian 9.0devel1.4.2-1
sudo apt-get remove device-tree-compiler

This will remove just the device-tree-compiler package itself.

Uninstall device-tree-compiler and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove device-tree-compiler

This will remove the device-tree-compiler package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for device-tree-compiler then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge device-tree-compiler

Or similarly, like this device-tree-compiler

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove device-tree-compiler
