How To Uninstall devilspie2 On Debian 9

To uninstall devilspie2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just devilspie2

Lua-based window matching utilityDebian 9.0gnome0.42-1
sudo apt-get remove devilspie2

This will remove just the devilspie2 package itself.

Uninstall devilspie2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove devilspie2

This will remove the devilspie2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for devilspie2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge devilspie2

Or similarly, like this devilspie2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove devilspie2
