How To Uninstall dgit On Debian 9

To uninstall dgit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dgit

git interoperability with the Debian archiveDebian 9.0devel3.10
sudo apt-get remove dgit

This will remove just the dgit package itself.

Uninstall dgit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dgit

This will remove the dgit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dgit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dgit

Or similarly, like this dgit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dgit
