How To Uninstall dhcpcd5 On Debian 9

To uninstall dhcpcd5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dhcpcd5

DHCPv4, IPv6RA and DHCPv6 client with IPv4LL supportDebian 9.0net6.10.1-1
sudo apt-get remove dhcpcd5

This will remove just the dhcpcd5 package itself.

Uninstall dhcpcd5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dhcpcd5

This will remove the dhcpcd5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dhcpcd5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dhcpcd5

Or similarly, like this dhcpcd5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dhcpcd5
