How To Uninstall dict-devil On Debian 9

To uninstall dict-devil just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dict-devil

"The Devil's Dictionary" by Ambrose BierceDebian 9.0text1.0-12
sudo apt-get remove dict-devil

This will remove just the dict-devil package itself.

Uninstall dict-devil and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dict-devil

This will remove the dict-devil package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dict-devil then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dict-devil

Or similarly, like this dict-devil

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dict-devil
