How To Uninstall dictionary-el On Debian 9

To uninstall dictionary-el just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dictionary-el

dictionary client for EmacsDebian 9.0lisp1.10-3
sudo apt-get remove dictionary-el

This will remove just the dictionary-el package itself.

Uninstall dictionary-el and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dictionary-el

This will remove the dictionary-el package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dictionary-el then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dictionary-el

Or similarly, like this dictionary-el

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dictionary-el
